Product Warranty
Last updated: 28 June 2026
Wider Cable manufactures Ethernet and USB cables under raw-material-to-finished-product quality control, and output is Fluke-tested before it ships. We stand behind that quality with a limited warranty against manufacturing defects for the business that purchased the goods. This page explains what the warranty covers and how to make a claim.
What the warranty covers
During the warranty period, if a product has a genuine defect in materials or workmanship, we will repair, replace, or credit it at no charge to you. The warranty period is 12 months from the date of delivery, unless a different period is agreed in writing in your quotation or sales contract. Replaced goods or parts become the property of Wider Cable. The warranty covers the original purchasing business and is not transferable.
How to make a claim
To start a claim, contact your sales team at sales@widercable.com with:
- your order or purchase-order number, or our sales invoice;
- a description of the defect and the affected quantity; and
- the product code (SKU) and, where possible, photos of the issue and any batch or serial markings.
We may ask you to return a sample of the affected goods for quality inspection before a claim is approved.
Proof of purchase
A valid claim needs proof that the goods were bought from Wider Cable or an authorized distributor — for example our sales invoice, your purchase-order number, or a dated invoice from an authorized distributor. More than one form may be requested to confirm the order and the original delivery destination.
Who pays return shipping
We cover shipping on confirmed warranty repairs or replacements. You are responsible for shipping costs when:
- goods are returned for a reason other than a confirmed defect;
- goods returned as defective are found by our quality control to be working as specified;
- a claim is made on goods moved outside the original delivery country; or
- goods are returned outside the approved claim process.
See Shipping & Delivery for how shipments and returns are arranged.
What the warranty does not cover
- Products without valid proof of purchase, or bought from an unauthorized seller.
- Goods outside the agreed warranty period.
- Lost or stolen goods.
- Non-defect issues or normal wear.
- Samples or promotional items supplied free of charge.
- Damage from improper installation, handling, or storage; physical damage; or use beyond the product's rated environment (for example temperature, moisture, or bend radius).
- Products repaired or modified by a third party.
Limitation of liability
This warranty is your sole remedy for defective goods. To the extent permitted by law, Wider Cable is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of, or inability to use, the products. This warranty is subject to our Terms & Conditions.
